The Wichita Wranglers rode good pitching by Billy Buckner and Gabe DeHoyos and a clutch 9th inning walkoff single by Chris Lubanski to a 2-1 win over Corpus Christi Tuesday to even their TL Championship Series at 1 game each. DeHoyos got the win. The series shifts to Corpus Christi for the remaining games beginning Thursday.
In Missoula, the Idaho Falls Chukars got shut out, 4-0, on 3 hits in the opener of the best-of-3 PL Championship Series. The Chukars had more errors (4) than hits as Rowdy Hardy took the loss. All 4 runs were unearned as Missoula only had 4 hits. The Chukars face elimination in game 2 Thursday but get to finish the season at home. They need 2 straight to take the league title.
