Tsao IP, 4 ER, 5 H, K, HRA -- 5.56 ERA
Mildren IP, H, BB -- 0.00 ERA

*** The O-Royals were shut out on 5 hits. The game was a pitcher's duel through 3 1/2 innings but, with 1 on and 1 out in the Fresno 4th, Kyle Davies served up a 2-run jack to DH Scott McClain and Fresno was on the board. Another 2-run Fresno homer in the 5th made it 4-0 as a handful of pitches ended up costing Davies dearly. Chin-hui Tsao came in for the 7th and gave up 4 runs on 3 hits and a 2-run homer (again by McClain). Omaha scattered its 5 hits and never really threatened. Fresno SP Nick Pereira went 8 strong IP with 5 hits and 11 Ks to improve to 3-2 with a 4.19 ERA. CF Clay Timpner was 3-4 with his 1st homer and 3 RBI (22) with 3 RS to move to .288 and McClain was 2-4 with 2 HR (6) and 4 RBI (25) to move to .264. SS Omar Vizquel was 0-2 in a rehab game.

B. Johnson 6 IP, 6 H, 7 K -- W, 2-2, 4.35 ERA, very nice start
Colon 3 IP, 2 H, 2 K, WP -- SV, 1, 5.29 ERA

*** Blake Johnson and Roman Colon combined on a shutout and Juan Richardson provided the only run the Naturals needed. The run was manufactured when Jose Duarte doubled to lead off the NWA 4th, advanced on an Angel Sanchez groundout and scored on a Richardson single. The Naturals left the bases full. Tulsa didn't get a runner past second until the 8th and Colon got a key flyout to end the threat. Tulsa SP Tomas Santiago took the loss with 7 IP of an ER on 3 hits, 3 walks and 4 Ks to fall to 1-2 with a 3.00 ERA. 1B Jeff Kindel was 3-4 with his 6th double to improve to .266.

Chambliss IP, K -- 1.13 ERA

*** Starter Matt Kniginyzky got beat around as Winston-Salem used 5 early runs to get the win. Things looked good in the 1st as Derrick Robinson led off with his 1st triple and scored on a Chris McConnell double to make it 1-0 Rocks. McConnell was left at third as things headed south for Wilmington. Kniginyzky got touched up for 3 runs in the 1st on 5 hits, including two doubles. One was unearned as Anthony Seratelli made his 1st error. Kniginyzky gave up a 2-run homer in the 2nd to make it 5-1 Warthogs. Lopez and Bradley 2 scoreless IP

*** Ed Cegarra took a hard loss as the Bees outhit Dayton, 7-4, but got shut out. The Bees stranded 2 in the 4th and Cegarra allowed only a hit through 4 2/3 innings before a single and 2-run homer spoiled the shutout bid.
