* Clint Robinson led the way to the Texas League Championship Series Monday as the Nats knocked Springfield's starter out of the game without registering an out. Mike Montgomery got out to a shaky start as Springfield scored a run on 2 hits in the 1st but Nick Van Stratten teamed up with SS Chris McConnell to nail a runner at third to end the inning. The Naturals loaded the bases with 0 out in the 1st off Trey Hearne and Clint Robinson cleared the bases with a double before scoring on an error to make it 4-1 Cards and sending Hearne to the showers. NWA left the bases full. Clint Robinson came back up with 2 on and 0 out in the 2nd and singled in a run. With the bases full again, Manny Pina hit a 2-run single to make it 7-1. Montgomery allowed a run on a wild pitch and a sac fly cut it to 7-3 in the 4th. Montgomery gave up a solo homer before getting pulled in the 7th with a 7-4 lead. Anthony Seratelli got a run back with a leadoff homer in the 7th for his 3rd of the playoffs as he quietly had a good series. Henry Barrera mopped up with 2 2/3 hitless innings of work for a big 1st postseason save. It's on to the big one for NWA as they'll play a best-of-7 with the Midland RockHounds (AA Athletics) for the whole bag of TL marbles. It's a rematch of last year's TLCS won by Midland. The Nats get no rest as game 1 is Tuesday in Springdale.
