* The Naturals coasted to another win to complete one of the best regular seasons ever for a Royals affiliate. While Mike Moustakas left NWA with a triple crown intact, it was instead teammate Clint Robinson who seized the Texas League triple crown. The Nats got it started Monday with a Anthony Seratelli RBI double and Clint Robinson sac fly in the 1st. Johnny Giavotella ripped a 2-run double in the 3rd and Clint Robinson followed with an RBI single to make it 5-0. Robinson hit an RBI double in his next AB to continue a great final game. NWA starter Eduardo Paulino and three relievers scattered 4 singles in a lockdown performance. A run-scoring wild pitch and 2-run Derrick Robinson double in the 8th laid the Drillers to rest. NWA finished 44-26 in the second half and 86-54 overall. A best-of-5 TL semifinal series with the Springfield Cardinals (38-32) starts Wednesday. Clint Robinson finished with a .335 BA (plus a 1.035 OPS), 29 HR and 98 RBI to be the first TL triple crown winner in 11 years. He won the RBI title by 1 as his 3 RBI Monday were crucial. Adam Piatt was the last TL player to win a triple crown. For the honor, Robinson got a curtain call from the crowd. Danny Duffy is set to start game 1 with Springfield.

Matt Mitchell gave up solo homers in the 1st and 4th but Burlington took over that inning with 6 runs on a Ben Theriot RBI double, 2-run Deivy Batista homer (his 6th), Hilton Richardson RBI single and 2-run Whit Merrifield triple. Clinton scratched out a run off Mitchell in the 6th but Mitchell was pulled with 1 out and the bases loaded in the 7th. Rodolfo Encarnacion gave up 2 singles to score 3 runs and tie the game. Julio Aparicio drew a leadoff walk in the 9th, advanced to third on a Merrifield single and scored on an Alex McClure sac fly to end it. McClure had committed an error in the Clinton 7th. The Bees finished 24-43 and 46-90 overall. They are the first MWL team to lose 90 since 2006.
