* Midland broke a deadlock in the 9th off Rowdy Hardy to even the TLCS at 1 game each. Derrick Robinson walked and scored on two errors on a pickoff play to give NWA a 1-0 lead in the 3rd despite not having a hit. Midland answered with 2 in the 4th off Everett Teaford and the Naturals continued to be no-hit by Midland SP Anthony Capra until he was pulled to start the 7th. Derrick Robinson threw a runner out at the plate in the 6th to keep the deficit at 1 and NWA manufactured a run on (their only) 2 hits in the 7th as Chris McConnell singled in a run off RP Mickey Storey. A Johnny Giavotella error helped load the bases with 1 out in the 9th and Hardy got the second out before 2 singles scored 3 runs to break it open. The last 7 Nats after McConnell's game-tying single went down in order to end it. The game marked NWA's final one at home this season as the series shifts to Midland for the final 3 games starting Friday. It's John Lamb's turn in the rotation, so the Nats need a big start out of Lamb.

Hosmer is no Lubanski. That is good in my book. Thanks for all the great updates this year. I read them all!

Chris Lubanski is still young, and he could break thru with the Jays. But yes, I hope Hosmer continues to be much better. You've gotta remember tho, Lubanski hit .867 in the '05 Cal League playoffs and cycled in the last game. One of the most amazing things I've "witnessed" since starting The Pipeline.
