Four runs in an inning, 8 in a game? It's time to kick Gil Meche out of the league. That's who the Royals touched up in Tuesday night's 8-6 win. Also, D.J. Carrasco is the only pitcher the Royals seem to want to score for anymore as he gets the win. He didn't have a great start but didn't need to with the Royals putting 8 on the board. He gave up 5 ER over 5 1/3 innings and only Sisco gave up a run out of the pen. At the plate, DeJesus and Berroa had 2-hit games as DeJesus' hits were good for 3 RBI and Berroa added 2 for his first good game in a while. Gotay, Sweeney, Teahen and Brown have 0-fers. Looking at the box score, Seattle should have had the 8. The M's put together 14 hits to the Royals' 7 but Seattle helped KC out with an error and a wild pitch to give up a run. This one just fell the Royals' way, for a change.
Tomorrow night gives us the rubber match as Runelvys faces Aaron Sele, who has a 4.71 ERA and 1.48 WHIP. This one is winnable. Hope the bats stay awake.
