Royals on the Farm 7/11

Uh oh. Zach Greinke, shoulder discomfort. They're saying nothing serious, but let's hope that's the case. On a Futures game note, gotta like a 4-5 from Eric Hosmer, and Mike Moustakas made a really good defensive play at third but only got a couple ABs. ESPN guys said the rumblings were that he would be in Omaha very soon. Hmmmm. I hope that means we're gonna start seeing some moves made.

AAA - Omaha: Albuquerque 2, Omaha 1

RF Parraz 0-3, BB, RBI (40), K, OF assist at first -- .280

* Omaha entered the all-star break on a sour note as they notched only 5 hits and Bryan Bullington took a tough loss. The Royals left the bases full in the 2nd and Bullington had one rough inning in the 4th as a leadoff homer and 2 other hits made it 2-0 Isotopes. The Royals stranded 2 in both the 4th and 5th and Jai Miller doubled and scored on a Jordan Parraz groundout to cut the lead in half in the 6th. Miller was caught stealing second to end the 8th and one-time Royal RP Scott Dohmann pitched a 1-2-3 9th for his 10th save. Starter James McDonald allowed an ER over 6 1/3 IP to improve to 6-1. Clint Robinson hit a 2-out RBI double in the 1st and Paulo Orlando hit an RBI single to make it 2-0 NWA. The Hooks got a run back in the 1st off Mario Santiago and tied it in the 2nd before stranding 2. Robinson led off the 3rd with his 17th homer and Tim Smith hit an RBI forceout before an Anthony Seratelli RBI double made it 5-2 Naturals. Patrick Keating came in with 1 out and none on in the 5th and gave up 2 runs to cut the lead to 1. Back-to-back homers to start the 6th turned the lead around for good. The last 6 Nats went down in order. RP Fernando Abad got the win with 4 2/3 scoreless IP to improve to 1-3. Starter Henry Villar allowed 5 ER over 3 2/3. Sample worked out of a jam in the 5th and the Bees only had 2 hits off Odorizzi thru 6. Sam Runion gave up a leadoff homer in the 6th as the Rattlers padded their lead.
