* Louis Coleman's Omaha debut ended up helping the Cubs to the win over Omaha. Luis Mendoza put the Royals down early as he served up a 2-run homer in the 1st. The Royals got back to their old LOB ways as they left the bases full in the 1st and stranded 2 in the 3rd. Scott Thorman hit an RBI double in the 6th but ended up getting thrown out in an odd double play at home and second with Jai Miller to end the inning. Coleman gave up 3 runs on 4 hits in his AAA debut in the 8th and Thorman's 2-run roundtripper (his 14th) went for naught. Iowa SP Casey Coleman got the win with an ER allowed over 6 IP to improve to 7-7. 1B Micah Hoffpauir was 3-4 with 2 doubles (19), his 10th homer and 3 RBI (54) along with 2 RS and SS Darwin Barney had 2 hits and his 6th SB. Omaha is 42-37. RP Barry Bowden was sent to AA to make room for Coleman. Gaby Hernandez will try to keep the ball in the park in the series finale tomorrow.

* The Naturals kept the magic going with another comeback win Friday. A Mike Moustakas sac fly spotted NWA to a lead in the 1st. San Antonio scored 2 runs on 3 hits off Aaron Crow in the 3rd and got a solo homer in the 4th to make it 3-1. Clint Robinson was thrown out at the plate to end the NWA 4th and the Missions added a run in the 5th to make it 4-1. Chris McConnell and Johnny Giavotella hit RBI singles in the 5th to cut the lead to 1 but Crow gave both runs back before getting pulled in the 6th. Paulo Orlando ripped a 2-run homer (his 4th) to trim it back to 1 but NWA stranded 2. Moustakas tied it with an RBI double in the 7th and scored the go-ahead run on a Manny Pina double to make it 7-6 Nats. Patrick Keating stranded 2 in the 8th and Brandon Sisk came on to strand the bases full in the 9th for a true save, his 7th. RP Alexis Lara allowed 2 ER over 2 IP to fall to 1-3 and blow his 2nd save. Starter Corey Kluber allowed 5 ER over 5 IP. CF Blake Tekotte had 3 hits and 4 others had 2 hits. NWA is 6-2. Eduardo Paulino starts Saturday.

* The Rocks held off a late Lynchburg charge to take the series finale. Bryan Paukovits staggered through a 4-run Hillcats 2nd as Christian Colon chipped in his 2nd pro error to the small carnage. Wilmington broke back with 4 runs in the bottom of the frame on an Adrian Ortiz RBI single, a 2-run Jarrod Dyson single and a steal of home by Patrick Norris. Jamar Walton hit a sac fly in the 3rd and Wilmington took off with 5 in the 4th on an Eric Hosmer 2-run homer (his 5th) and 3-run Walton homer (his 2nd) to make it 10-4. Colon also had his first pro hit - a single - in the 4th. Brendan Lafferty allowed a run in the 7th and then combined with Eric Basurto to allow 3 runs in the 8th as Lynchburg cut it to 10-8. Basurto pitched a perfect 9th for his 4th save. Starter Lance Janke allowed 10 runs (9 ER) over 3 2/3 IP to lose and fall to 3-6. CF Felix Perez and 2B Brodie Greene had 3 hits for the Hillcats. The Rocks are 6-3 and tied for first. A 4-game set at the Potomac Nationals (3-5) starts Saturday with Buddy Baumann and Jairo Cuevas piggybacking it.

* Wisconsin only had 3 hits as the Bees continued to get well from a slow start. The Timber Rattlers plated a run off Sugar Ray Marimon in the 1st but only had 1 hit after that inning. Jose Bonilla tied it with his 1st homer in the 4th and Marimon stranded the bases full in the 6th. Bonilla scored on an error in the 7th and J.D. Alfaro hit a 2-run triple to make it 4-1 Bees. Rene Oriental finished the scoring with a 2-run homer in the 8th for his 5th of the season. Starter Del Howell allowed 4 runs (1 ER) over 6 2/3 IP to move to 1-3. Wisconsin had 3 hits. The Bees are 4-4.

* Leondy Perez got ample run support as Idaho Falls took out the Ghosts. Lane Adams singled in the 1st and scored on 2 errors. Casper got the run back off Perez in the 1st but IF scored 4 in the 2nd on a 2-run Casper error and RBI singles by Yowill Espinal and Geulin Beltre to make it 5-1. The Chukars added single runs in the 3rd and 4th on an Adams RBI single and Murray Watts RBI double. Casper got a run in the 5th to trim it to 7-2 but Tim Ferguson singled in a run in the 6th. Espinal singled in 2 runs in the 7th to finish it off. Casper scored 3 in the 8th off Brian Peacock and Matt Morizio allowed a run in the 9th but the Chukars got the 10-6 win. Ghosts SP Alving Mejias allowed 7 runs (2 ER) over 3 1/3 IP to drop to 1-2. RF David Kandilas and 2B Jose Rivera had 3 hits for Casper while three others had 2 hits. The Chukars are 6-6 and a game back. A 3-game home set with the Ogden Raptors (5-7, Rookie Dodgers) starts Saturday.

* The B-Royals finished the win with 5 unanswered runs. The Royals stranded 2 in the 1st and Crawford Simmons allowed a run in the bottom of the inning. Luis Piterson singled in a run in the 3rd and scored on a wild pitch to make it 2-1 Royals. The O's tied it in the 5th but Yunior Figueroa broke it back open with a 2-run homer in the 6th for his 2nd of the season. The Royals benefitted from a 2-run error in the 9th and a Gabe MacDougall RBI triple to put it on ice. RP Billy Gross dropped to 0-1 with 2 ER over 4 IP. Starter Cameron Roth allowed 2 ER over 3 IP. RF Jeremy Shelby had 2 hits for the O's. Burlington is 6-5 and tied for first. Leonel Santiago pitches the set finale for Burlington Saturday.
