I'm cutting these somewhat short since I'm rolling 2 days into 1. Nashville took command in the 4th and Tyler Lumsden didn't get a lot of run support in taking his 6th loss. Mitch Maier led off the game with his 14th homer for his 3rd leadoff homer in the last 7 games. Nashville tied it in the 3rd on a hit, 2 wild pitches and a Paul Phillips error but Justin Huber cracked a 2-out solo shot in the 4th for his 18th of the season to regain the lead for Omaha. Lumsden gave up 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th, however, as the Sounds rapped out 4 hits in the inning. Former Royals farmhand Steve Bray pitched 2 innings to finish it for Nashville. Sounds RF Vinny Rottino was 2-3 with his 17th double, 12th homer and 3 RBI (53) to move to .289 and SP Adam Pettyjohn got the win with 7 IP of 2 ER on 5 hits, a walk and 7 Ks to move to 12-4 with a 3.87 ERA.
