Blake Johnson started tonight and got shellacked before getting tossed in the 2nd, but it's 5-4 Vegas in the middle innings thanks to a grand salaaaaaami from Irving Falu, who chose a fine time for his 1st homer of 2010. Anthony Lerew starts Tuesday's game.

Mike Moustakas hit a 2-run homer in the 3rd for his 8th homer of the season to make it 3-0. Santiago worked out of a bases loaded jam in the 6th and Moustakas singled in a run in the 8th to make it 4-0. The first 2 reached on Blaine Hardy in the 9th but he proceeded to strike out the next 3 for his 3rd save. Tulsa SP Ching Lung Lo took the loss with 3 runs (2 ER) over 4 IP to fall to 0-1. 1B Kiel Roling had 2 hits for the Drillers. The Naturals are 22-14. As "Anonymous" pointed out in a comment on yesterday's post, Mike Montgomery got pulled early Sunday because of a rain delay. I shoulda figured that one out.
