* Four late runs got the Zephyrs past Omaha. Anthony Lerew had a so-so start but allowed only a 4th inning run before getting pulled after he stranded the bases loaded in the 5th. Blake Johnson gave up a sac fly in the 6th to make it 2-0 but Marc Maddox hit a 2-run double to tie it in the bottom of the inning. Greg Holland took over in the 7th and served up a 2-run homer to former Royals 2B/SS Donnie Murphy (his 3rd) to break it for good. Omaha left the bases full in the 7th and Holland struggled through the 8th to give up another 2 runs before getting pulled. Jordan Parraz hit an RBI groundout by the 9th to post a meaningless run. RP Taylor Tankersley pitched 1 1/3 hitless innings for the win. Starter Jorge Sosa allowed 2 ER over 5 1/3 IP. Six Zephyrs had multiple hits led by 2B Danny Richar, who had 3 hits. Murphy had 2 hits and drove in 3 runs (9). The O-Royals are 14-14. Phil Humber starts Sunday's game.

* The Naturals poured it on early and coasted to the win behind another strong start from Edgar Osuna. Nick Van Stratten started a good day with an RBI single in the 1st and Ernesto Mejia led off the 2nd with his 5th homer to make it 2-0 NWA. He came back up in the 3rd and slugged a 3-run homer for his 2nd of the game and 6th of the season to run it to 5-0. Tulsa's only run came on a solo homer in the 6th. Paulo Orlando cranked a 2-run homer in the 8th for his 1st of the season and Clint Robinson hit an RBI double in the 9th to finish the rout. Tulsa SP Brandon Durden allowed 5 ER over 6 IP. Five Drillers had a hit each. The Naturals are 19-9.

* The sacrifice fly was the Rocks' weapon of choice Saturday as both runs scored that way and Chris Dwyer and Patrick Keating held the Keys to slim pickings. Eric Hosmer hit a sac fly in the 1st but Dwyer gave up a solo homer in the 2nd to tie the game. Wilmington stranded 2 in the 3rd but Adrian Ortiz lifted a sac fly in the 5th to make it 2-1. Dwyer stranded the bases full in the 5th but Keating struck out 8 of the 10 batters he faced to nail down the narrow win. Keys SP Cole McCurry took the loss with 2 runs (1 ER) over 6 IP. The Keys only had 2 hits. The Rocks are 11-18 after snapping the 7-game losing streak. Alex Caldera starts Sunday's series finale.

* A 4-run Beloit 2nd put the Bees in a hole they couldn't escape. The Bees stranded 2 in the 1st and Nick Wooley gave up 5 straight hits for 4 runs to start the Snappers 2nd to make it 4-0. Joey Lewis hit an RBI double in the 3rd but the Bees would leave 2 in scoring position in the 4th and they didn't really threaten thereafter. Beloit got a run off Bryan Paukovits in the 7th. Beloit SP Brad Stillings allowed an ER over 6 IP for his 1st win of 2010. C Tobias Streich and 2B James Beresford had 2 hits and 2 RBI for Beloit. The Bees are 11-19.
