Omaha stranded 10.

Hernandez 6 IP, 2 ER, 2 H, 3 BB, 4 K, HRA -- 6.59 ERA
Bullington 2 IP, 2 H -- 1.64 ERA
Marte IP, H, 2 K -- W, 3-1, 3.46 ERA

* Omaha fell behind but made a 9th inning comeback for the walkoff win and the 4-game sweep. Scott Thorman started a good game personally with an RBI single in the 1st but that was all the run support Gaby Hernandez would get. Hernandez only made 1 misstep in a good start as he gave up a 2-run homer that cost him a chance at a win. It was mostly offensive frustration for the Royals going into the 9th but Jai Miller took a 1-out walk, advanced on a wild pitch and scored on a Marc Maddox single to tie the game. Omaha loaded the bases with 2 out and Thorman stepped up for a walkoff single to end it. RP Juan Rincon took the loss with 2 ER over 1/3 IP for his 4th blown save. Sky Sox SP Alan Johnson allowed an ER over 6 IP. C Mike McKenry had 2 hits and 1B Brad Eldred clubbed his 10th homer with 2 RBI (34). Omaha is 24-21 and 2 games back but in last place in a tight divisional race. A 4-game set with the Round Rock Express (, AAA Astros) starts Friday as Jorge Campillo makes the start.

CF D. Robinson 1-2, BB, SF, 2B (6), RBI (16), CS (9), RS -- .323
3B Seratelli 1-3, RBI (7), K, RS -- .183
3B Moustakas 0-1, K -- .374, left in 3rd
2B Giavotella 0-4, K -- .285

Montgomery 3 IP, 3 ER, 6 H, 3 K, HRA -- 2.84 ERA, 52 pitches
B. Johnson 3 IP, ER, 5 H -- 6.75 ERA
R. Hardy 1 1/3 IP, 4 ER, 3 H, BB -- BS, 2, L, 0-1, 6.41 ERA
Chavez 2/3 IP, H -- 9.00 ERA

* The Naturals had the upperhand but lost it in the 8th for good as Frisco took another game in the set. Mike Montgomery faced some adversity as Frisco scored 2 runs in the 1st including a solo homer. Derrick Robinson hit a sac fly in the 3rd but Montgomery gave the run back on 2 hits and a sac fly. Ernesto Mejia led off the 5th with his 7th homer of the season and the Nats rallied for 3 in the 6th on an Anthony Seratelli RBI single and 2-run Manny Pina homer for his 4th of the season. Blake Johnson allowed a run in the 6th and Rowdy Hardy coughed up the tying run in the 7th. Things fell apart in the 8th as the RoughRiders scored 3 runs off Hardy and Chris Chavez. RP Ben Snyder got the win with 1 1/3 scoreless IP. SP Tanner Roark allowed 5 ER over 5 2/3 IP. Three 'Riders had 3 hits and 2 others had 2 hits. I haven't seen any news on why Montgomery and Moustakas were pulled early.

Fernando Cruz hit a 2-out RBI double and Hilton Richardson hit a 2-run triple to make it 3-0 Bees in the 2nd. Rene Oriental hit an RBI single in the 3rd and it was 4-0 Bees. Clinton got a solo homer off Bryan Paukovits in the 3rd and then another in the 4th to cut it to 4-2. Joey Lewis hit a solo homer in the 5th for his 5th of the season to make it 5-2. A run was in and 1 was on when Paukovits got pulled for Ryan Dennick in the 5th. Dennick gave up an RBI double to the first batter he faced before escaping the inning with a 5-4 lead. Clinton rapped 4 singles in a 2-run 6th and Burlington went down without much fight in the 7th. Starter Taylor Lewis got the win for Clinton despite allowing 5 ER over 6 IP. CF Dan Carroll was 3-4 for the 'Kings and 2 others had 2 hits.

Bees 2, Clinton 1 (7/G2)

3B R. Wood 2-2, S -- .208
LF Frost 1-3, 2 RBI (11) -- .263
C Bonilla 1-2, BB, RS -- .235
CF Richardson 0-3, K -- .195

Odenbach 5 1/3 IP, ER, 3 H, 2 BB, 6 K -- W, 2-3, 3.81 ERA
Sirrett 1 2/3 IP, H, BB, 2 K -- SV, 1, 1.59 ERA

* The Bees finally solved the Clinton riddle to take 1 game in the series. The Bees got an RBI groundout from Adam Frost in the 2nd and a Frost RBI single in the 4th made it 2-0. Clinton loaded the bases with no outs in the 6th and a Dusty Odenbach throwing error scored Clinton's only run. Odenbach and Onassis Sirrett wriggled out of the jam to keep the 1-run lead. Sirrett picked up his 1st save with a scoreless 7th. Clinton SP Jonathan Hesketh allowed 2 ER over 5 IP to drop to 2-4. Four LumberKings had a hit each. The Bees are 16-31. A 4-game home set with the Quad Cities River Bandits (28-19, A Cards) starts Friday.
