Lima's got the magic touch

OK, one of two things need to happen. Either Lima needs to be shipped out or at least taken out of the rotation. He's proven (at times) he can hold things in check for 3 or 4 innings but past that it's over. A couple errors helped his downfall today but the Royals rendered it meaningless with a 4-run rally to tie the game. At least Bell was smart enough to hook Lima when he had the chance (too late but better late than never). But then Leo Nunez came out and got rocked for 5 ER and I waited for the Royals to lay down. They didn't, tho, and ended up rallying late for 3 runs to make it close. Close but not enough as the Giants won, 9-7. Tony Graffanino again proved his place in the lineup with a 2-hit game playing for Sweeney. He's creeping closer to .300, now at .298. Emil Brown also had a 2-5 game to keep producing. Teahen was 3-5 to step up (let's hope that's the first of many 3-hit games for him) but DeJesus and Diaz had 0-fers. John Buck had his good game (it happens once every 5-10 games or so) with a 2-4 outing. KC left 12 on base including leaving the bases loaded one inning. The top 4 of the Giants order went 9-18 with 5 RBI to spell doom for the Royals.

Royals fans have been calling for Lima's head since the start of the season but it still hasn't happened. Today also showed Leo Nunez could use some more seasoning, but there aren't many pitchers at AAA to bring up. With this organization that doesn't matter, tho. They'll probably call up someone straight from high-A ball. They already moved a pitcher from low-A to AAA once this season. I don't think Baird grasps the minor league concept sometimes. It gets no easier tomorrow at Arizona. We'll see how Zack does.
