Runelvys steps up

Wow. Four in a row. Royals pitchers led by Runelvys Hernandez shut down their opponent for the fourth straight game and the offense did enough to get the job done. Runelvys went 6 innings and allowed only 1 run while Matt Stairs homered for the second straight game. Then in the 7th Buck hit a bloop single to score Teahen. Buck actually had a decent game, going 2-3. Nunez, Sisco and MacDougal came in and shut the door, although MacDougal got some help with a great catch from Emil Brown to end the game. That made up for an 0-fer at the plate for Emil. Texas, which has had a pretty good offense this season, got only 4 hits. I don't know what's gotten into the pitchers but I hope they keep it up.

As for my Billy Butler question, it was shown tonight in the recap of the game on Yahoo. "INF Billy Butler, one of the Royals' top minor league prospects, got hit on the hand by a pitch at Class-A High Desert and will be out at least two weeks." Hope this doesn't put too much of a snag in his development.

Tomorrow it's Lima v. Park. Jose is a tough guy to put this streak on after the way he's been this season. Maybe a bad start tomorrow will be the end of him in KC. We'll see.
