Royals 7, Astros 1

Well, like I figured, the Royals got to Brandon Backe and salvaged one game of the Houston series with a 7-1 win. Runelvys Hernandez had another great start as he gave up only 1 run and 1 hit over 7 IP with 3 BB and 6 Ks. He's looking recovered from TJ surgery, definitely. Burgos came in and left almost as soon as he entered with "tightness" in his shoulder. Also, unfortunately, Mike Sweeney's wrist isn't healing like they thought it would, of course. What? Sweeney's hurt and is probably going to go on the DL? NO. So two setbacks on Sunday.

On the good side, Emil Brown hit a 3-run shot to continue his good play, Long had 2 hits and Gotay had 3. Berroa also drew another walk, even tho he went 1-4. I'll take a .400 OBP per game, tho. Alberto Castillo was the only Royal with an 0-fer Sunday. Costa was 1-3 to stay strong at .333 with a BB to boot.

Next up is the White Sox at the Cell in Chicago. Big series. It'd be nice to see KC take 2 of 3, although it'll be tough with Garland in game 2 and Buehrle in game 3. Game 1 is Jose Lima v. Brandon McCarthy. Will Lima be the last-game Lima or the one from the first bunch of starts? I'm predicting a 7-5 White Sox win Monday.
