* Omaha is being shut out on 3 hits as the game goes to the 6th. Fresno scored 2 off Blaine Hardy in the 1st and the Grizz added 2 in the 4th. Omaha stranded 2 in the 5th, but so did Fresno. That's where it sits. Oh, wait, Omaha has scored a run in the 6th on Mike Moustakas' 7th homer at AAA (his 28th of the season overall). Huzzah. Omaha won Wednesday's game, 5-0. Anthony Lerew is set to start Friday's series finale. He was named the PCL Pitcher of the Week for last week after a good start.

* A 7th inning run gave Frisco the W. A run-scoring wild pitch and bases-loaded Manny Pina walk made it 2-0 Nats in the 1st. John Lamb had a bad 3rd as the 'Riders scored 4 runs thanks mostly to a 3-run homer. Nick Van Stratten singled home Eric Hosmer in the 3rd to cut the lead to 1 and Van Stratten singled home Clint Robinson in the 5th to tie it. The RoughRiders got a run on 2 hits off Rowdy Hardy in the 7th and that ended up being the gamebreaker. The Nats didn't threaten thereafter. The Nats are 31-21. The series concludes Friday.

* Wilmington blew a lead but came back to win. Two singles and a Wil Myers 3-run homer for his 3rd for the Rocks got Wilmington off to a nice start in the 1st. Frederick would answer, tho, as Will Smith worked 3 clean innings but gave up 4 runs in the 4th. Nick Francis led off the 7th with his 11th homer to tie the game. The Rocks moved ahead in the 8th on a Christian Colon RBI double and Myers RBI single. Manauris Baez came in for the 9th and the game came to an exciting end as a 2-out single scored a run but the tying run was thrown out at the plate by Adrian Ortiz to end the game. The Rocks are 28-24. A 3-game home set with the Lynchburg Hillcats (23-27, A-Adv. Reds) starts Friday with Tim Melville taking the mound.

* Dusty Odenbach had another good start as the Bees put the game away with 4 in the 9th. Odenbach allowed a run in the 1st and stranded 2 in the 2nd but Jose Bonilla tripled and scored on an error in the 3rd. Ben Theriot hit a sac fly in the 4th to make it 2-1 Bees. Peoria retied it in the 6th as Odenbach had settled down but Deivy Batista broke the tie with a 2-out solo homer in the 7th for his 5th of the season. Batista followed it up with a 2-run double in the 9th before Gerard Hall singled in a run and Tim Ferguson hit an RBI forceout. Matt Morizio stranded 1 in the 9th for his 1st save. The Bees are 17-33. The rubber match of the series is Friday.

Rookie - Idaho Falls: Missoula is up on the Chukars, 10-5, in the 6th

* IF took a momentary lead in the 5th before things fell apart. Leondy Perez gave up a solo homer in the 1st but the Chukars picked him up in the 5th with 3 runs on a Reggie Taylor RBI single, Juan Polonia RBI single and run-scoring error. Missoula answered with 3 runs off Perez and Allen Caldwell in the 5th and then 6 in the 6th off Caldwell. Polonia has singled home 2 more runs in the 7th to tighten it to 10-5 but the Chukars left the bases full. IF came back but fell, 4-3, on Wednesday.

* The Mets are up late on the Royals. They got it started with 3 in the 1st off Jonathan Dooley. Ryan Stovall hit an RBI groundout in the 1st but the Royals have squandered their other chances. The Royals are 25-30. The game got started late because the Mets had bus problems.

* The Rangers turned it on late to win in a makeup game. The Rangers scored a run in the 1st but an error scored the tying run in the bottom of the frame. The Rangers scored another run in the 2nd but Darian Sandford tripled in the 3rd and scored to tie the game. A solo homer in the 4th made it 3-2 Rangers and they scored 2 more off Kyle Kreich in the 5th. Cameron Conner singled in a run in the 5th and Jin-Ho Shin hit a 2-run double to tie it at 5. The Rangers scored 3 in the 6th, tho, and 2 in the 7th.

The Royals are up, 5-0, on the Rangers in the nightcap in the 5th

* The Royals have set up a chance at a split in the second game. Mike Antonio doubled in a run in the 3rd and the Royals picked up 2 in the 4th on a run-scoring error and Darian Sandford RBI forceout. A Henry Moreno triple scored 2 more in the 5th and was aided by another Ranger error. The Rangers have gotten on the board with 3 in the 5th off Rudy Brown.
