* Omaha pieced together a nice rally in the 9th to get a big comeback win. Cody Clark hit a sac fly in the 2nd but Vin Mazzaro gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the inning. The Zephyrs added a run in the 4th and another in the 6th to make it 5-1. Omaha stranded 2 in the 7th and Brandon Sisk came in to leave the bases loaded in the bottom of the inning. The Chasers loaded the bases with 0 out in the 9th to bring in RP Peter Andrelczyk, but Clark hit an RBI single, Joaquin Arias hit a 2-run double, and Johnny Giavotella hit the game-tying single. David Lough greeted RP Dan Jennings with a go-ahead sac fly and Jeremy Jeffress worked around a walk in the 9th for his 3rd save. Omaha is 47-39. The series ends with a Wednesday matinee. Mike Montgomery will start.

* The Naturals came back from a 5-1 deficit and got a walkoff win on Tuesday. Chris Dwyer gave up a run in the 1st but Rey Navarro hit a 2-out RBI double in the 2nd to tie it. The Hooks scored 2 in the 4th and 2 in the 5th to chase Dwyer. Nick Francis hit an RBI single in the 6th, then came back up in the 7th and hit a 2-run double with Salvador Perez adding a game-tying single. Kelvin Herrera allowed a run in the 8th but Jamie Romak led off the NWA 8th with his 10th homer. With 2 out and Francis at second after a steal in the 9th, Perez ended it with a walkoff single. NWA is 4-8. The Naturals have Wednesday off.

* Potomac unleashed the hounds on Tyler Sample and the Rocks for a runaway Nationals victory. Ryan Stovall hit an RBI single in the 1st but the P-Nats scored 2 off Sample in the 1st then went off for 8 in the 2nd, capped by a grand slam that brought in Brendan Lafferty. Potomac scored a run in the 3rd and added another in the 4th off Lafferty. John Whittleman hit a solo bomb in the 6th for his 11th of the season, and Jose Bonilla added an RBI groundout but the Rocks would fall far short of Potomac. Wilmington is 5-8. A 3-game set at the Salem Red Sox (6-7) starts Wednesday. Justin Marks will start.

* Quad Cities scored 8 runs in the middle innings to put Kane County away on Tuesday. Orlando Calixte clubbed his 1st homer of the season in the 2nd but the Bandits got 2 runs on 4 straight hits in the 4th. Calixte hit a 2-out RBI single to tie it in the bottom of the frame but Jason Adam was pulled with 2 on and 0 out in the 6th. Allen Caldwell allowed 4 runs in the inning and, after KC stranded the bases full in the 6th, Caldwell gave up 3 runs in the 7th to make it 9-2. Jon Keck gave up a solo homer in the 8th and Kane County got a meaningless run in the inning on a Jake Kuebler solo homer (his 2nd). Kane County is 8-4. A 3-game set at the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (6-5, A Brewers) starts Wednesday. Santiago Garrido will start.

* The Braves beat the B-Royals' pitching staff on Monday like they stole something and emerged with a 27-6 win. The Braves scored in each inning but 1, and in that inning the Royals got their 6 runs. It started with a 4-run Danville 1st off Angel Baez and then 2 more in the 2nd off Baez. Jason Mitchell teed up 6 runs in the 3rd but Cory Hall made his first full inning of pro ball a success with a scoreless 4th. Jorge Bonifacio hit a 2-out triple in the Royals 4th, scored on a wild pitch, then the Royals loaded the bases with singles, Justin Trapp hit a 3-run double, and Mike Antonio hit a 2-run single to cut it to 12-6. Danville resumed the offensive onslaught in the 5th with 4 runs off Hall, and he and Malcom Culver allowed 4 runs in the 6th. Culver gave up 2 more runs in the 7th, then he and Andrew Ferguson gave up 3 runs in the 8th, and Ferguson allowed 2 runs in the 9th. Burlington fell to 3-11. A 3-game home set with the Princeton Rays (9-5) starts tonight.

* A 6-0 Burlington lead evaporated as the Rays launched a major comeback for the win. Justin Trapp led off the Royals 1st with a double and scored on a Cameron Conner caught-stealing at second, with Murray Watts hammering his 7th homer of the season to make it 2-0 Royals. Jared Dyer hit an RBI single in the 2nd, scored on a wild pitch and the Royals added a Trapp RBI triple to make it 5-0. Watts led off the 3rd with his 8th homer and 2nd of the game. The Rays got on the board in the 4th against Eric Cantrell but really got down to business when Andrea Pizziconi came on for the 5th. Five hits and two walks later, the Rays had 6 runs and a 7-6 lead. Trapp hit a 2-run double in the 6th but Rays 1B Cameron Seitzer (son of Kevin), who had hit a 3-run homer in the 5th, tied it with a 2-out RBI double in the 8th. The Rays added 2 in the 9th off Alex Rivers and the Royals couldn't rally. Burlington is 3-12. Game 2 is Wednesday. C Kenny Swab has been added to the roster.
