* A 6-run rally earned Omaha the win. Irving Falu hit an RBI single in the 2nd and the Chasers got the big rally in the 5th as David Lough singled in 2 runs, Clint Robinson hit an RBI single, Mike Aviles hit an RBI double, Kila Ka'aihue hit a sac fly and a run-scoring error made it 7-0. Luis Mendoza had a no-hitter going thru 7 but was pulled after giving up a single in the 8th. Two errors helped the RedHawks spoil the shutout in the inning. Jeremy Jeffress walked the bases loaded in the 9th but got out of the jam. Omaha is 49-41. The series and first half end Sunday. Vin Mazzaro is set to start.

* San Antonio got a little payback for two straight drubbings at the hands of the Naturals with a runaway win on Saturday. The Missions wasted no time as Zach Miner gave up a leadoff homer in the 1st, but Jamie Romak went deep for his 12th homer in the 3rd to make it 2-1 NWA. Miner gave up a grand slam to 3B Jedd Gyorko in the 3rd and the Missions were off and running again. They added 2 in the 4th and 1 in the 5th off Miner. Henry Barrera gave up a 2-run homer in the 7th and the offense couldn't get anything else going. NWA is 6-9. A 3-game set at the Corpus Christi Hooks (6-9, AA Astros) starts Sunday. Chris Dwyer will start.

* The Pelicans scored the last 5 runs of the game to get a comeback win. Carlo Testa popped a 2-run homer in the 1st for his 2nd of the season but Myrtle Beach scored single runs in the 2nd and 3rd off Noel Arguelles to tie it. Wilmington recovered with 3 in the 4th on a 2-run Jose Bonilla single and run-scoring wild pitch. A Nick Van Stratten sacrifice fly in the 5th increased the lead to 6-2 Rocks. Arguelles allowed another run before Tim Melville took over in the 6th. The Pelicans added another run in the 7th and Bryan Paukovits gave up 2 2-out runs in the 9th to tie it. The Rocks left the bases loaded in the 9th and Ryan Dennick gave up a solo homer in the 10th to give the Pelicans the lead for the first time.The Rocks went down in order in the 10th. Wilmington is 6-10. Game 2 is Sunday. Tyler Sample will start.

* The Cougars recovered from blowing a 4-run lead to win on Saturday. Alex Llanos scored on a wild pitch in the 1st and KC added 3 in the 3rd on a Brett Eibner RBI double, a run-scoring error and Cheslor Cuthbert sac fly. Yordano Ventura allowed 4 runs in the 4th on 4 hits and a sac fly. Cuthbert doubled in a run in the 6th to regain the lead and a wild pitch scored an insurance run in the 7th. Nick Rogers left 2 in scoring position in the 9th to pick up his 2nd save. Kane County is 11-5. Jason Adam will start game 2 Sunday.

* IF got all but shut down by Orem on Friday. Tyler Chism led off the game with his 1st pro homer and that was the highlight of the game for Idaho Falls. Orem struck for 4 in the 3rd off Brian Peacock. The Chukars never got any traction off Owlz SP Logan Odom or two relievers. IF is 9-10. Game 2 is tonight.

* The Royals scored 2 in the 1st, watched Bristol come back to tie it in the 7th, then scored a run to bring home their 4th straight win. Singles were the Royals' weapon of choice in the 1st as Mike Antonio and Murray Watts had RBI base hits. Bristol scored a run in the 5th off Angel Baez, who had a solid start, and then tagged Cory Hall for the tying run in the 7th. A Justin Trapp sac fly regained the lead for the Royals in the 7th and Nick Graffeo struck out the side in the 9th for his 2nd save. Burlington is 7-12. The series ends Sunday.

* The Royals scored 2 in the 9th to force extras but just as quickly lost it in the 10th. After a 3-run Padres 1st off Cesar Ogando, Brian Gaylord hit a 2-run single in the bottom of the 1st. Humberto Arteaga tied it with a 2nd inning RBI single. The Padres scored a run in the 4th but Nick DelGuidice singled home a run in the 5th. Cole White allowed a run in the 6th but the Royals had an answer again as Rainier Bello drove in a run with a groundout. Brian Edelen gave up 2 runs in the 7th but a DelGuidice sac fly and run-scoring wild pitch gave the Royals new life in the 9th. Fernando Cruz came on for his 2nd inning of work in the 10th and the Pads cashed in by scoring 5 off him and Christian Witt. The Royals had no answer this time. The Royals are 6-9. The teams are having a rematch tonight.
