Finding ways to lose

Another day, another loss for KC as Runelvys Hernandez walked in 2 runs that made the difference in a 4-2 loss at Colorado. The first of the two was to opposing pitcher Jeff Francis, violating a cardinal rule of walking the pitcher. Anyway, the Rockies got one run through good offense and the Royals' offense sputtered again with 6 singles and, again, no extra-base hits. In Coors Field. Emil Brown got his 2 hits. He's got to be the team's all-star this year. He's on a 12-game hitting streak and has had a great June. Graffanino, Long and McEwing had 0-fers. Another loss that could have been a win if a couple parts had gone differently.

Good Lord. Tomorrow it's Jose Lima at Coors. Of course, Rockies starter Joe Kennedy hasn't been lights out either but the thought of Lima at the Colorado Launching Pad makes me cringe. I don't know what to expect. The reality is hitting the fan for the Royals right now.
