Unlucky seven

Another night, another loss for Kansas City as Zack Greinke pitched well but the offense was pretty much a no-show in a 3-1 loss to Minnesota. The only run came on an 8th inning solo bomb shot by David DeJesus. Buck and Everyday Emil Brown had 2-hit games but Buck's double and DeJesus' upper deck tater were the only extra-base hits for KC. Actually, other than those 3 only Berroa had a hit and the Twins only had 1 XBH. The Twins score 2 in the 2nd off Greinke and scratch across an insurance run in the 8th and Mays holds down the fort with Nathan polishing off the 9th for the win. It was a pitchers' duel with Greinke and the Royal O coming out on the short end. KC is now 25-50.

Tomorrow night is a winnable game for KC. J.P. Howell goes against Carlos Silva. Howell will have to be on his game and the offense may have to actually produce, but it's not impossible. There's nowhere to go but up or sideways.
