* An Omaha comeback was not to be as the RedHawks defeated Mike Montgomery and the Chasers. OKC scored the first run in the 3rd, then got a bases-loaded, 2-out 3-run double in the 4th to make it 4-0 off Montgomery. Omaha stranded 2 in the 4th but Clint Robinson went deep in the 6th for a 2-run shot for his 14th of the season. Omaha would leave the bases loaded, tho, to waste a crucial chance. A double play scored a run in the 8th to cut it to 4-3 but the Chasers couldn't get it tied. RF Brian Bogusevic and LF Drew Locke had 2 hits for the RedHawks. Locke drove in 3 runs (20). Omaha is 33-27. Game 2 is Friday. Mario Santiago is set to start. Omaha's games on June 13, 27 and July 25 will be televised on Metro Sports in KC and Cox channel 2 in Omaha.

* The game with Arkansas got ugly again early as the Travs made it 3-for-3 in the series thus far over the Naturals. CF Mike Trout led off the Arkansas 1st with his 7th homer of the season and the Travs added another run in the inning off Zach Miner. Arkansas added 4 runs in the 2nd off Miner to stretch the lead to 6-0. Heath Rollins came on in the 3rd and allowed another tally to make it 7-0 Arkansas. Anthony Seratelli hit a 2-run homer in the 4th for his 6th of the season, and NWA would leave the bases loaded. The Naturals loaded the bases again with 0 out in the 5th but only got 1 run on a 2-out wild pitch to cut it to 7-3. Jamie Romak hit a 2-run double in the 7th to cut the lead to 2 but Arkansas got a solo homer in the inning to make it 8-5. NWA got the first 2 on in the 9th but made nothing of it. Three Travs had 2 hits, as SS Darwin Perez also drove in 2 runs (24). Trout was 1-5 with the homer and his 19th RBI to drop to .310. NWA is 26-28. The teams play another doubleheader on Friday with Chris Dwyer and Edgar Osuna starting.

ChiSox) starts Friday with Tim Melville starting. Four Rocks made the Carolina League all-star team as Mike Mariot and Jake Odorizzi will pitch and Rey Navarro and Whit Merrifield will play as position players. The all-star game is June 21 versus the California League all-star team in Modesto, CA.

Boruff allowed a solo homer in the 9th for an insurance run and the Cougars stranded 1 in the 9th. RF Cody Rogers and CF Kevin Kiermaier had 3 hits for Bowling Green. Rogers was a double short of the cycle as he hit his 10th homer, scored thrice and had an assist at first. 2B Hector Guevara drove in 2 runs. KC is 26-34. A 3-game set with the Dayton Dragons (29-30, A Reds) starts Friday. Leondy Perez is set to start.
