* Chris Dwyer reverted to some of his 2011 struggles on Thursday as he picked up his 10th loss. He walked in 2 runs in the 1st, then gave up 2 more runs in the 4th to make it 4-0 RoughRiders. The Naturals had chances early on but squandered them until the 6th. Kevin Chapman gave 2 runs right back on a 2-run homer in the 6th. Buddy Baumann's first appearance coming back from the DL saw Frisco score a run in the 7th. Jeff Bianchi hit a sac fly in the 9th but that was as close as the Naturals would get. NWA is 23-23. The series ends Friday. Jake Odorizzi will try to get back on the right track.

Orlando Calixte drove in a run in the 4th and KC put something together in the 5th with 5 runs on a run-scoring error, Brett Eibner RBI single, Cheslor Cuthbert sac fly, Jake Kuebler RBI double and Calixte RBI single that made it 6-4 Cougars. Giovenco allowed a run in the 6th and Alex Rivers gave up a leadoff homer in the 7th to tie it. Rivers held the line from there but things went downhill when Chas Byrne took the mound in the 11th. The Chiefs scored 4 in the inning and Daniel Berlind pitched a perfect 11th to finish it. KC is 27-19. Jason Adam pitches the rubber match Friday.
