* Sean O'Sullivan picked up his 5th win as the Chasers evened the series with the Grizzlies. Fresno got a solo homer in the 2nd but Jarrod Dyson and David Lough doubled in runs in the 3rd and Lorenzo Cain singled in a run to make it 3-1 Omaha. Fresno picked up a run in the 4th but Joaquin Arias tripled in a run in the 6th to make it 4-2. Kelvin Herrera stranded 2 in the 9th for his 1st AAA save. Omaha is 64-52. Game 3 is Tuesday. Vin Mazzaro will start.

* The Naturals squandered a good start from Will Smith as Edgar Garcia blew his 1st save. Run support was an issue for NW Arkansas as the Naturals stranded 2 in the 6th. Jamie Romak led off the 7th with his 21st homer and Smith handed that 1-0 lead to Garcia in the 9th. He got the first 2 outs without issue but loaded the bases and walked in the tying run. He had the 2-out blues again in the 10th as an RBI double made it 2-1 Arkansas. The Naturals got 2 on with 2 out in the 10th but Derrick Robinson hit into a game-ending forceout. NWA is 23-21. The Nats have Tuesday off.

* Justin Marks led the Rocks to a series-opening win over the Dash. Carlo Testa started it quickly with a 2-run homer in the bottom of the 1st for his 3rd of the season. The Rocks stranded 2 in the 4th but got a Nick Van Stratten RBI single in the 5th. Jon Keck came in and stranded the bases full in the 6th but allowed a run in the 7th. He and Bryan Paukovits retired the last 8 in order. The Rocks are 17-26. Tim Melville starts game 2 Tuesday.

* The Mets scored in 7 of the 9 innings to get the three-game sweep of the Royals. Angel Baez got tagged for 4 runs in the 1st and another run in the 3rd. Lane Adams hit an RBI triple in the 3rd and Jin-Ho Shin hit a 2-run double to cut it to 5-3. Andrea Pizziconi allowed a run in the 4th but Jared Dyer doubled in a run in the bottom of the inning to keep the lead at 2. The Mets added another run in the 5th, and the Royals left 'em loaded that inning. Mike Antonio went solo in the 6th for his 7th homer of the season. Pizziconi allowed one more run before getting pulled in the 7th and Tyler Graham allowed a run in each of the last 2 innings to make it 10-5. The Royals are 17-30. A 3-game set at the Greeneville Astros (19-27) starts Tuesday. Matt Ridings was named Appalachian League Pitcher of the Week on Monday after allowing a run in his last 12 IP, with 13 Ks.

* All the runs came from the 6th on and the Rangers emerged on top. The Royals struck first in the top of the 6th with a D'Andre Toney RBI single after a Brian Gaylord leadoff triple, and a Nick Cuckovich RBI groundout. Jonathan Rodriguez gave up a 2-run homer in the 6th, and two errors by Cuckovich in the 7th helped the Rangers grab a 4-2 lead. Jerrell Allen hit an RBI single in the 9th but Nick DelGuidice was thrown out at the plate on the play and the Royals stranded runners at the corners. The Royals are 16-23.
