* The Chukars helped force extras with 2 in the 8th, rallied back in the 10th to stay alive, but finally faltered in the 11th. Billings got it started with 3 in the 2nd off Kellen Moen, but Henry Moreno went solo in the bottom of the inning for his 8th of the season. Billings added a run in the 3rd to make it 4-1 but Runey Davis doubled in a run in the 5th. The Chukars rallied in the 8th as Chris Elder singled in a run and scored on a 2-out wild pitch to tie it at 4. Spencer Patton allowed 3 runs in the 11th, however, and there would be no more Chukar magic Friday. IF is 7-11. A 3-game set with the Great Falls Voyagers (11-7, Rookie ChiSox) starts tonight.

Rookie - Burlington: Kingsport 3, B-Royals 2

* A late Burlington comeback wasn't to be Friday. The Mets got to Angel Baez for a run in the 1st but Baez would hold the line from there. The Royals finally got on the board in the 7th as Jorge Bonifacio doubled in a run, but the tie didn't last long. Andrew Ferguson allowed 2 runs in the 7th to make it 3-1, and Steven Brooks hit a pinch-hit RBI single in the 8th to cut it back to 3-2.
