* Omaha attacked from all spots in the lineup in a 4-inning onslaught. The game was scoreless entering the 4th, when David Lough led off with his 7th homer, followed by an Irving Falu sac fly, a 2-run Lance Zawadzki triple, and a Joaquin Arias RBI single. Luis Mendoza had another good start, and allowed his only run on 2 hits in the 4th. The Chasers answered with 3 runs in the 5th on a Kila Ka'aihue 3-run blast for his 8th of the season. Then they padded the lead with 4 in the 6th on a Lorenzo Cain bases-loaded walk, Clint Robinson sac fly, and 2-run Salvador Perez single that made it 12-1. Cain singled in a run in the 7th to finish the scoring for Omaha. Robinson Tejeda allowed a late run but worked a 3-inning save. Omaha is 61-49 after the 4-game sweep of OKC. A 4-game home set with the Sacramento RiverCats (67-43, AAA A's) starts Wednesday. Sean O'Sullivan is set to start.

* The Naturals offense didn't do much damage on the Drillers on Tuesday. Mario Santiago gave up single runs in the 1st and 2nd, then got nicked for another run in the 4th. Tulsa added 2 in the 6th off Edgar Garcia and 1 in the 7th off Andrew Dobies. Wil Myers hit a 2-run homer in the 8th for his 4th of the season and a Christian Colon walk was fruitless in the 9th. * Wilmington's first 2 runs gave them the lead but by the time the Rocks scored their last 2, it was too little too late. Tyler Sample left the bases full in the 1st and Yem Prades hit a 2-run shot in the 2nd for his 3rd of the season to make it 2-0 Rocks. The rarest of the rare took place in the 3rd as Dash RF Nick Ciolli hit an inside-the-park grand slam. The Dash added single runs in the 4th and 5th to make it 6-2. Tim Ferguson hit a sac fly in the 6th and Gerard Hall hit an RBI groundout to cut it to 6-4. The Rocks stranded 2 in the 9th. Wilmington is 14-23. Game 2 is Wednesday. Justin Marks will start.

* Jason Adam had a great start and the Cougars made good use of the longball in Tuesday's win. Kevin David led off the 2nd with his 1st homer for KC and an error scored Orlando Calixte later in the inning to make it 2-0 Cougs. Brett Eibner led off the 3rd with his 10th homer to make it 3-0 KC. Jake Kuebler slammed a 2-run homer (his 7th) in the 5th and Calixte hit his 3rd homer in the 6th to stretch it to 6-0. Adam allowed a leadoff single in the 1st, then retired the next 17 he faced before getting pulled after 6. Mike Giovenco stranded 2 in the 8th and allowed 2 runs before Chas Byrne finished it in the 9th. KC is 22-15. Game 2 is Wednesday as Leondy Perez starts.

* Casper held off the Chukars for a win Monday. The Ghosts got a run in the 1st off Brennon Martin. The Chukars couldn't buy a run, and Martin and Nathan Johnson allowed 2 runs in the 6th. Ryan Jenkins hit a 2-run single in the 6th to supply the IF offense. The Chukars left a runner at third in the 7th and Casper got an insurance run in the 9th. The Chukars stranded 1 in the 9th. IF is 1-1. The series ends tonight.

* Whereas the Royals scored 1 or 2 runs at a time, the Rangers were scoring 3 or 4 at a time to get the win. The Rangers scored 3 in the 2nd off Buddy Baumann and Stephen Lumpkins, but a run-scoring error got the Royals on the board in the bottom of the inning. The Rangers added 2 in the 3rd...and the Royals responded with a run on Cameron Gallagher's first pro RBI single. The Royals were able to cut it to 5-4 with 2 in the 4th on a D'Andre Toney RBI single and Humberto Arteaga RBI forceout. The Rangers kicked it into gear with 4 in the 5th, then added 3 in the 6th to make it 12-4. Adrian Morales singled in a run and Rainier Bello took a bases-loaded walk in the 6th. The Rangers put it away with 4 in the 8th, but Brian Gaylord hit an RBI groundout in the 8th and, after the Rangers poured on two more gravy runs in the 9th, Jerico Blanco hit an RBI double and Terrance Gore hit an RBI single to make it 18-9. The Royals are 13-21.
